Travis Cook was born and raised on a ranch outside of Baker City, Oregon. He soon came to love and respect the outdoors. Travis's parents also operated a green house business, which led him to Oregon State University to study horticulture.

Travis took an interest in the Oregon wine industry and in June of 2007 he graduated with a B.S. in Horticulture Science with a focus on Viticulture & Enology. While at OSU he was involved in the Viticulture Research Program and was the Student Manager of their Research Vineyard Woodhall III. After graduating, he took a job as Assistant Vineyard Manager for Spindrift Wine Cellars located in Philomath, Oregon.

In the spring of 2008 he decided to pursue the industry in the north Willamette Valley. A college friend and now colleague suggested he check out Advanced Vineyard Systems, Inc. and after careful thought and consideration Travis took a job as a Site Manager with AVS. He says, "I enjoy the diversity of the work and the people that I work with".

Travis is happily married to Krista who is a Veterinarian in the McMinnville area. The two of them live on the north side of McMinnville and enjoy Yamhill County.
